What is the “Green Box”?
The Green Box is a small electrical box which lowers electrical demand from the Power Company.
Energy costs continue to rise and you are using more electricity in your home today than ever before. But, it is still possible to lower your monthly electric bills.

Energy Recyclers  uses a capacitor system to optimize the efficiency of  the inductive motors in your home.  We use the electricity sent to your home or business and recycle it so you can save up to 25% on your electrical bill.

How does it work?
As the demand for power runs through your home, there is non-productive current (heat) that strains your home appliances and wiring. This heat is wasted energy that you are paying for. The KEC optimizes the power that comes into your home, allowing your appliances and equipment motors to operate more efficiently. This reduces heat (wasted electricity), which in turn lowers your electric bill, reduces the chance of fires, and increases the life of your appliances and motorized equipment. By reducing the Amp draw we reduce the Watts and Watts = Kwh which is what you pay the electric company for.

Does the Unit work in any home or business?
Yes, as long as you have a circuit breaker panel with breaker switches!

Will the Unit adversely affect anything in my home?
No! If anything your motors will run about 10% cooler, which is good for a
motor because heat is the enemy of a motor causing them to burn out over time.
The Unit will typically extend the life of motors by 15% or more.

Is this unit tested?
Yes, the unit is UL listed and tested, CSA approved, NASA tested, has a
level 4 Cleaner and Greener rating, is RoHS compliant and is recognized by the
U.S. Department of Energy. It was recently accepted into the U.S. Green Building
Council.

How much can I expect to save?
That depends on many factors. The size of your home, the amount of inductive
motor load, and the amount you are paying per kilowatt-hour for electricity.
However, while savings can be much higher, we guarantee a savings in electrical
consumption or your money back.*

How long until the Unit pays itself back?
Generally about 6-12 months, but again, the same factors above apply, some
will see sooner (6 months) some will see later (12 months).

Why haven’t I heard of this product until now?
That’s easy, two words “cost effectiveness”. Up until recently, electric rates
throughout America were cheap, costing us 2, 3, or 4 cents per kilowatt-hour.
Now, electric rates are 8, 10, 12 and 19 cents (33.5 cents in Hawaii) per kilowatthour.
At the cheaper rates the unit didn’t make sense, but at the current rates, it
makes all the sense in the world.

The Commercial/Industrial market is a bit more complicated than the Residential market. In the Residential market, we have sized the UNIT to work with most houses in the U.S., but, the motors in the Commercial/Industrial market have to be sized for optimal savings.

The Optimization Sizing System provides a simple and accurate way for measuring and optimizing the power factor to unity of individual inductive loads (motors). All Optimizers size up to 600 volts. This system consists of three units for sizing:SINGLE PHASE UNIT we call US1, sizes all single phase equipment THREE PHASE UNIT we call US2, sizes fractional motors up to 75hp THREE PHASE UNIT we call US3, sizes motors 75hp up to 300hp. After sizing is completed, a precise analysis, estimated savings, estimated return on investment and system cost is prepared for the customer. We then custom build our product to fit their system.

Depending upon the rate structure of your electric utility, you may be able to save a substantial amount of money on your electric bill. Pay-back period for an equipment purchase including installation cost may be six months up to three years. Utility rate structures that account for reactive power consumption, by either a KVA or var demand usage, or a power factor penalty are the ones that can provide this pay-back. Other ancillary benefits to be gained by optimizing power factor are, lower energy losses, better voltage regulation and released system capacity
